How mixed-breed results work
Most companion cats are mixed. Forcing a single breed name is often less honest than showing a few looks that match the photo.
What the percentages mean
Each percentage is how strongly the photo resembles that breed’s typical face, coat, and body — not a DNA share. 70% Maine Coon and 20% Norwegian Forest means the cat looks a lot like a Maine Coon and a little like a Forest cat. It does not mean a lab found those exact ancestors.
Domestic Shorthair / Longhair
If the cat does not strongly match a recognised breed, the top result may be a domestic shorthair or longhair. That is a real, useful answer — not a failed scan.

These numbers are not a pedigree, not a registry paper, and not a substitute for a commercial DNA kit. Use them to learn what the cat looks like. Use a vet for health questions.
