Terms of Service
Critical warning. These Terms contain limitations of liability. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Acceptance
By downloading or using Cat Breed Identifier, you agree to these Terms with TQ Tech. The app is distributed on Google Play under package name tq.tech.catid.
2. The service
The app helps you explore likely cat breeds from photos using automated AI, plus a photo quiz and on-device history. Results are for general information and entertainment.
- Not a substitute for a veterinarian or animal health professional.
- Does not certify pedigree, registration, DNA, or purebred status.
- Does not appraise or price animals.
3. Subscriptions
- Weekly Pro — US list price $1.99 / week, auto-renewing. A 3-day free trial is offered when Google Play displays it at checkout.
- Yearly Pro — US list price $9.99 / year, auto-renewing.
Prices, currencies, and taxes are set by Google Play. Free users receive three lifetime identifications and three Ask AI questions. The quiz stays free. Pro unlocks unlimited scans and Ask AI, subject to a fair-use daily cap.
Subscriptions renew unless you cancel in Google Play before the period ends. Cancel: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel billing. Refunds are handled by Google Play.
4. Acceptable use
Do not abuse the service (automated scraping, bypassing quotas, or submitting content you do not have rights to share). We may suspend access for violations.
5. AI disclaimer
Breed identification may be inaccurate, especially for mixed-breed cats. Always consult a veterinarian for health concerns. We do not guarantee accuracy. The app is not a medical or genetic testing device.
6. Intellectual property
The app, branding, quiz photos, and design are owned by TQ Tech. You retain rights to photos you input. By tapping Identify or Ask AI, you grant a limited license to send that photo or question to our backend and a third-party AI solely to return a result. Photos are not stored as a user archive on our servers.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is.” TQ Tech is not liable for decisions you make based on breed estimates. Use at your own risk. Nothing here limits rights you cannot waive under consumer law in your country.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
